What goes in

✳
Make it your size

Tap as you measure. A little less to keep in your head.

Let’s make it

one step at a time
  1. 01

Combine the soy sauce, ½ cup water, brown sugar, honey, mirin, rice vinegar, ginger, garlic, and sesame oil in a small saucepan.

  2. 02

Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat. Cook for 4–5 minutes, stirring occasionally, to dissolve the sugar and infuse the garlic and ginger.

  3. 03

Mix the cornstarch with 2 tbsp cold water until smooth.

  4. 04

While whisking the sauce, slowly pour in the cornstarch slurry.

  5. 05

Simmer for another 1–2 minutes, stirring continuously, until thick, glossy, and syrupy.

  6. 06

Remove from the heat. The sauce thickens further as it cools.

✳

That’s a good thing made.
Enjoy every bite.
